Located in Maricopa County, Goodyear, Arizona was the third-fastest growing city in Arizona, however, in 2019 the population was still at a modest 86,000, so visitors can still enjoy a small-town feel with big-city conveniences. The city is named for the Goodyear Tire Company, which has used stretches of the farmland in the region for decades.
Goodyear is probably best known for its famed Goodyear Ballpark, the spring training facility for the Major League Baseball teams the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians.
If baseball isn’t your thing, visit the Estrella Mountain Regional Park, a 20,000-acre public park showcasing the desert, mountain, and wetland ecosystems. It contains the only grass picnic area in the region, which spans over 65 acres. Enjoy 33 miles of hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails. There is something for just about every outdoor enthusiast at the Estrella Mountain Regional Park.
For indoor entertainment, check out the Brass Armadillo Antique Mall, a unique experience offering 55,000 square feet of collectible and antique shopping. This mall offers public events, seminars, workshops, and dealer training events, along with daily vendors.
