Central Scottsdale, Arizona
Central Scottsdale (also known as the Shea Corridor, or Cactus Corridor) extends from Camelback Road north to Shea Boulevard and is a shopping and dining mecca for those that travel there. Most of the homes were built there in the 1940s among the horse stables and equestrian trails. It is also known as the Resort Corridor for all its amazing golf and spa resorts in the area. It has an upscale feel with lots of movie theaters, shops, and restaurants. There is a cool biker bar and a Western-themed music joint and brewery as well. The Cactus Corridor Community Pool is a hit with the kids.
Central Scottsdale is one of the fastest-growing markets in the Greater Phoenix area and Shea Corridor is one of the most sought after places to live in Scottsdale, mostly because of its proximity to Shea Boulevard and the availability of housing options for young and working families. Being one of the city’s main thoroughfares, this long road isn’t the only thing that makes Shea Corridor ideal. The city’s most sought-after communities (Gainey Ranch and McCormick Ranch) are both located in the area and there are plenty of educational and recreational opportunities close by in the neighborhood.
This diverse area, with its combination of prestige and rural charm, is rapidly becoming one of the most popular places in the city. From tennis clubs to hiking trails to nightlife, you will be hard-pressed to find a better combination of breathtaking natural landscape in an urban setting. With all the amenities of a huge city, Central Scottsdale still feels quaint, hip, and artsy. From the gorgeous palm trees and succulents to the surrounding mountain views, it is no wonder that Central Scottsdale is a desirable place to visit, live, and work.
